RADWIMPS: A band that needs more love

RADWIMPS
Radwimps is a Japanese rock band formed in 2001 while the members
were in high school and it's getting more famous among those who like
J-rock. Their songs feature a mixture of different rhythms and possess
traces of techno, pop, hip-hop, etc... Their name is a mix of the
English words 'rad' and 'wimp'. It is a term they coined themselves
meaning "excellent weakling" or "superlative coward". Sometimes the band
goes by just the shortened version of their name, Rad.
Their
record company is EMI Music Japan and with them they have released four
CD's and some singles. It is worth noting that all the songs were
composed by Youjirou Noda, the vocalist, who has lived in America for
four years which may explain the prevalence of English lyrics in the
band's songs.
